Most folks don't take God seriously. They use their salvation as fire insurance, expect God to be there when they "need" Him, but don't care about His word, and especially His commandments.<BR/><BR/>I've heard teachings on the blessings of God that were entirely non-Biblical. I've seen folks take the blessings God listed in Deuteronomy, claim them for themselves, while throwing away the requirements on their part to receive those blessings. Folks can't seem to understand that everything in the Bible isn't "free." Yes, salvation is free to all who will accept it. The blessings of God are another matter entirely. He desires obedience rather than sacrifice.
