Eyes Wide Open

Photobucket

My eyes are wide open. Today has been a day where you see God begin to move in powerful ways and his timing is obvious. I was going to meet my wife for lunch, and I hesitated, grabbing the mail and sorting through it briefly. At that moment, some very dear friends came up, and needed to talk. We talked, we cried, we laughed. I spent the next several hours rekindling a friendship and just being there for a friend who had gone through tremendous pain.

What if I had left without checking the mail? The opportunity wouldn't have been there.

My eyes are wide open, waiting for the next person God brings my way, to show me that life is about reaching out to the hurting, the needy, the ones who need the very love I received when I was hurting, needy, even dying. Christ filled that void. He enables us to do the same for those he brings our way.

2 Cor. 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

It is truely amazing how God has His own plans for us. I never dreamed that I would get baptized. But He had His own plans for me. Thank the Lord you were there to comfort your friends. I am sure they needed you to talk too.

yes! I have been feeling that same way... my heart & eyes are so open. It's amazing how much purpose & meaning there is in each of our days. No matter if it's in our homes, on the streets, wherever! I believe there's a need for people willing to be open!! The Spirit is always ready to work through us... it's us that needs the preparation & willingness when the gentle nudge or whisper comes

good job being a wonderful example of Meno.

God's providence is an amazing thing brother!

"For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowlege of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all."- Ephesians 1:15-23

Love you brother! Keep posting!
