It's off to Chicago! Our vision team is pumped! We are so excited at the direction God is calling us to! He has orchestrated every moment, and we continue to trust a faithful God who call us to the water's edge, and says, "Step in! Trust me for the miracle!"

Innovate or Die? What does that mean?
If you read 2 Timothy you find out that Paul warns about conforming to the masses. I believe we are treading into dangerous water!
It hurts our feelings to have people act like they are doing something cutsy, restricted, favored or hip but that they will
have to wait to tell us about.
By the time you get around to taking the rest of us to Chicago
or to fly somewhere, we don't even
want to go.

I am soo excited that you all got to go to Chicago! what a great opportunity to hear from others and then refine your own vision / dream that God has given you for Southside and our very unique beautiful little niche. I am pumped up you were inspired and are ready to act!
I think I slept as little as you did but I was home in my house haha... I can feel the Spirit at work and the energy He is infusing in me is unreal. Who needs sleep!! :) jk you all really do need sleep - I hope you are making sure to rest!
I may be worried how some things will implement and want to make sure that all areas are focused on --- I worry for some groups of people that might feel left out --- but above all else no matter HOW we ATTRACT the lost -- community and love is universal!!!!!!!!! that was my point from today!
If we just love on the people we have and keep them connected - make them feel valued & loved - then how we attract the world doesn't matter - people who are meant to be a part of our church will stay around and become disciples no matter how we attract others!!!!
I know that conflict is actually something to embrace at this stage in our spiritual growth. It's a way to learn, refine, see different persdpectives.... we shouldn't avoid disagreements.... or we will error on being people pleasers isntead of God pleasers --- but above all else I know it's my duty to work on my relationship with God and showing love & mercy to others. Above all else - people can recognize we are christians by the way we love & treat each other.... when we disagree, when we can't see eye to eye..... it's amazing how the more time you spend with God - things that used to be BIG issues seem so small. He will work it out all if we ABIDE in Him!
